Transferring the Core Knowledge Day Planner Application from One  Computer to Another
The following are instructions for transferring a copy of the Core Knowledge Day Planner application which contains active data from one computer to another computer.

For the sake of clarity, let's call the computer which already has the Day Planner software installed the Old Computer. Let's call the computer onto which you wish to transfer the active Day Planner software the New Computer.

There are two possible scenarios for transferring the Day Planner application to a different computer depending on the software which is loaded on the New Computer. Click on the link below which best describes your situation.

Scenario 1
The New Computer does NOT have Microsoft Access 2000 or Microsoft Access 2003 already installed.

Scenario 2
The new computer has Microsoft Access 2000 or Microsoft Access 2003 already installed.

How can I tell if I have Microsoft Office already installed on the New Computer?
To determine if Microsoft Access 200 or 2003 has been previously installed on your New Computer, click on the Start Menu, select All Programs, and look for a folder named Microsoft Office in the list of All Programs. If Microsoft Office does NOT show up in the list, it is unlikely that Access has been installed on the computer. If the Microsoft Office folder does appear on the list of All Programs, select it and look to see if Microsoft Access appears in the list of Office applications. If Access is installed on the computer, you should see a window similar to the one pictured below.

Caution:
The Day Planner software was developed in 2004. The software is compatible with Microsoft Access 2000 and 2003. The Day Planner software has NOT been tested using Microsoft Access 2007. All indications are that it works perfectly well on machines running Microsoft Access 2007 but the user needs to proceed at his/her own risk.
